OK, I am not a big blogger or anything, but I think it’s important to let you know about a site that actually delivers on its promises. It’s called www.thephotoartpeople.com. I took a backyard snapshot of my son’s dog (he LOVES this dog). Then I sent the photo to the company’s website. They made a photo enlargement onto canvas and also did some touch-ups. The photo had a wheelbarrow handle in the background which was removed, and the dog had camera-red-eye which was retouched. It took about 7-10 days t o recieve the final product in the mail, and when I opened it I was just stunned. They took my average photo and turned it into a work of art. The colors really popped and photo actaully had a ‘feeling’ that I didn’t realize my snapshot had captured. It is hard to describe but I could just about pet the dog and give it a big hug from the canvas. The eyes were so real, and all of the details — like his little doggie name-tag, really stood out. I could not wait to give it to my son. Finally, when he opened it on his birthday he just about shouted, WOW! That was the best moment of the day. He ran to his room and asked me to hang it right over his bed where he could look at it all the time. Needless to say it was the best gift I have ever given my son, and I enjoy it too. I want to do a better job of supporting good companies that follow through with their promises — and I can heartily endorse The Photo Art People.
