America does have Photographic Talent!

Contest winners announced.

We received a great response to our contest, thank-you.  The judging panel was pretty stressed out trying to pick a single photo as the $100 1st place winner.  There were so many excellent entries to choose from.

But the jury is in and we have a winner in our first “America’s Got Photographic Talent” photo contest.

Congratulations to Tom Vogt for his entry “Quizzical”

The judges complimented the photographer on their excellent photographic technique and capturing the quizzical expression on the frog.  One judge commented that the pose made it appear the frog was listening to the flower stems.  Great job!

Because it was such a close call, we decided to recognize 4 second place entries in each of 4 categories;  “Landscape (urban and rural)”, “People”, “Photo-journalist style” and “Other”.  Each second place finisher will; receive a digital photo keychain from PhotoArt People.

And here they are…

In the Landscape (Urban/rural) category:
Rosalie Anderson’s “Lemonade”

Don’t forget to use your 30% off coupon for a photo canvas print from PhotoArt People by Dec 31, 2009 (that’s when they expire)

Thank you all for sharing your photos.  It was a real pleasure to see so much talent.

Watch for our next contest in January.  Our theme for this contest will be Portraits and Couples – perfect timing for Valentines Day.
